BATAVIA, Ohio —
A 13-year-old student has been charged after reports of threats made at West Clermont Middle School.
According to the Clermont County Sheriff's Office, deputies were notified around 2 p.m. by the school that there had been reports of an 8th-grade student showing other students pictures of a gun, claiming to have a gun and making threats involving a firearm during the school day. Advertisement
After several students reported the behavior, school staff immediately contacted police.
After speaking with students and staff, a 13-year-old student was identified as the person responsible for showing the images and making threats.
The student denied the behavior to police. Police confirmed no gun was brought to the school nor were any students placed in danger.
