MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WATE) — The Morristown City Council is considering changing the rules of the farmers market and Downtown Green to allow religious and political activity.
The city currently has a rule reading, "No one shall engage in solicitation, collection drives and/or distributions, political or religious activities on the premises" of the farmer's market. However, the City Council is considering removing the phrase "political or religious activities."
The item is on the agenda for the meeting on Tuesday.
