Ex- Jets coach Rex Ryan , known as a defensive guru, ripped the Giants ’ defense late in their collapse on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
With 2:42 remaining, Bo Nix and the Broncos marched the ball 68 yards in six plays for the go-ahead touchdown.
Ryan was asked about the Giants’ defensive philosophy late in the game when they only rushed three players and went into a prevent defense, giving Nix plenty of time to throw the ball.
“Well, it’s dog poop,” Ryan said Monday on “Get Up.” “This is absolutely absurd. Go get the sucker, you want to limit the time that he has to throw the ball.”
Added former NFL offensive lineman Damien Woody: “Scared money doesn’t make any money. So when you have that type of front, why in the hell would you go to a prevent defense with three guys rus
