Gas prices in Michigan are the lowest they’ve been since 2021.
Drivers across the state were paying as low as $2.79 per gallon for regular unleaded, which is a new 2025-low, according to AAA’s Monday report .
This price is down 13 cents from last week and 41 cents less than this time last month. As a result those looking to fill their tanks for a weekend trip were paying about $41 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline; a discount of about $16 from 2024’s high price.
“Drivers across Michigan are seeing the lowest gas prices since April of 2021,” Adrienne Woodland, a spokesperson for AAA-The Auto Club Group said, in a news release. “If crude oil prices and demand continue to fall, pump prices will likely follow suit.”
In Macomb County, motorists were paying as low as $2.69 per gallon.
