A homicide investigation is now underway after autopsy results revealed that a man found dead at a hotel in Byram died from blunt force trauma.
42-year-old William Boland was found dead on July 16th around 3:00 p.m. by Byram police. He was in a room at the Extended Stay hotel. Hotel staff called police after finding Boland unresponsive in his room.
According to Lieutenant Maurice Kendrick, autopsy results showed that he died because of blunt force trauma.
William Boland is from New York and was working for Piney Woods. William’s aunt released a photo of William.
According to his obituary, written by his sister, Boland had his PHD in early childhood education from John Hopkins University. He was a published children’s author under the pen name of Thursday P. Winklebottom III).
