CADILLAC — The city of Cadillac says they’ve planted 14 trees across the city thanks to a $2,800 grant from Consumers Energy.

The grant is part of the Consumers Energy Tree Planting Grant Program.

The city says they used the grant money to cover part of the cost to buy and plant the young trees.

Cadillac is an official Tree City USA and says one of it’s goals is to plant more trees every year than have to be taken down due to things like disease or damage.

Anyone who lives in Cadillac, can ask the city to plant a tree in front of their home.

You can fill out that form, here.
