The Washington Commanders will cross their fingers and hope that star quarterback Jayden Daniels avoided another serious injury.
Jayden Daniels suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter of Saturday’s road game against the Dallas Cowboys and did not return. Backup Marcus Mariota relieved Daniels and finished 4-of-10 for 63 yards, an interception and 34 rushing yards in the 44-22 loss.
Daniels has already missed two games this season with a knee injury. At 3-4, the Commanders certainly can’t afford to lose Daniels for another extended period of time.
Per Stephen Hawkins of the Associated Press, Commanders head coach Dan Quinn stated that Daniels would undergo an MRI after Sunday’s game.
