The Denver, Janesville, Tripoli, Clarksville and Wapsie Valley cross-country teams competed on Thursday, October 16 in their respective conference meets. The Cyclone boys took home the North Iowa Cedar League (NICL) conference title, and the Janesville girls finished third at the Iowa Star Conference meet.

The Cyclone boys beat Oelwein by just seven points to avenge their loss to the Huskies from last year’s conference meet and take home the NICL team conference championship. In last year’s NICL meet, the Huskies finished by an even slimmer margin of three points than what the Cyclones did this season.
