Colman Domingo is off to see the Wizard.

The "Euphoria" star, 55, has been revealed as the voice of the Cowardly Lion in "Wicked: For Good," the highly anticipated follow-up to the blockbuster musical "Wicked."

The news was shared on the official social media channels for "Wicked," which posted a video showing Domingo surrounded by lion plushies. "See you in Oz," he says in the clip.

The news comes after "Wicked: For Good" director Jon M. Chu revealed in an interview with Deadline that a major star would voice the Cowardly Lion in the film. He said he sent the then-unnamed actor a direct message on Instagram asking him to be involved.

"I was like, 'It's not a ton of lines, but maybe you have a little time," he told Deadline. "I know you're busy. I'll come to you.' He was like, 'Why ... not, let's go!' And then we went ahead and recorded the lines."

Chu added that it will be a "wild" moment when "the actor who gave us the Cowardly Lion's voice steps foot on" the movie's red carpet, seemingly implying the casting would remain a secret until then. The comments set off frenzied speculation about which star Chu was referring to, with some fans combing through the actors he follows on Instagram to identify leads.

"Wicked: For Good" will adapt the second half of the Broadway musical and feature several characters from "The Wizard of Oz," as the events of the story connect back to the classic 1939 film and original L. Frank Baum novel.

Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow will all be featured after they were briefly glimpsed in the opening scene of the first "Wicked."

Who will play Dorothy in 'Wicked'?

But one major unanswered question remains heading into "Wicked: For Good": Who is playing Dorothy?

No casting for the part has been revealed, but a preview published by Empire in September said the character will be seen largely from afar or from behind. Cynthia Erivo told the magazine this choice means that "everyone gets to keep the Dorothy that they know."

When is 'Wicked' in theaters?

Domingo has been keeping busy coming off his second Oscar nomination for his role in "Sing Sing." He'll next be seen starring opposite Glen Powell in "The Running Man," and his other upcoming films include the Michael Jackson biopic "Michael" and the untitled next movie by Steven Spielberg. He's also set to return in the third season of HBO's "Euphoria."

"Wicked: For Good" hits theaters on Nov. 21.
