Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar has put his weight behind Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to rediscover their form after a poor showing by both batters in the series opening ODI at Perth against Australia on Sunday. Rohit mustered up eight runs, as Kohli departed for a duck, with the hosts clinching a comfortable seven-wicket win.

Gavaskar didn't read too much into the performances of the two batters, saying that they are well-poised to deliver big performances upon getting accustomed with the playing conditions in the coming few days.
