Jennies Original Pierogies, a longtime metro Detroit staple known for its handmade Polish dumplings, will permanently close its final location on Nov. 2, the business announced on Facebook.

The decision comes after “unresolvable issues with our landlord,” according to the owners. The Garden City shop at 6659 Middlebelt Road will remain open under normal business hours — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday — through Nov. 1.

“We are deeply grateful for your support and loyalty over the years,” the owners wrote . “It has been a privilege to serve our community and be a part of your family get-togethers these past 30-plus years. ... Thank you for being part of our journey."
