HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Gov. Ned Lamont, alongside other state officials, announced on Monday that $5.3 million in state funding will be given to various after-school programs in Connecticut.
Nearly $10.6 million total will be provided for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years, according to a press release from Lamont.
Forty-one grants across 30 municipalities will be distributed by the Connecticut State Department of Education's After-School Grant Program to expand programs that provide academic support and enrichment opportunities beyond the school day, according to Lamont's announcement.
