20 in fray for Budgam, 13 in Nagrota

Jammu/ Srinagar, Oct 20: A total of 33 candidates have filed nominations for the Budgam and Nagrota Assembly constituencies, as the deadline for submissions concluded on Monday.

According to official details, 20 candidates have submitted nominations for the Budgam seat, while 13 have filed for the 77-Nagrota seat.

For the Nagrota seat, BJP’s Devyani Rana, Panthers Party’s Harshdev Singh, and National Conference’s Shamim Begum are among the 13 candidates who have filed nomination papers.

The election for the Budgam and Nagrota seats is scheduled for November 11, with counting to take place on November 14. The by-poll for the Budgam seat was necessitated after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah vacated it, opting to retain his traditional stronghold of Gand
