Police in Santa Fe, Texas, have issued a public safety warning after reports of sewing pins found in candy distributed during the city's Homecoming Parade. The Santa Fe Police Department (SFPD) confirmed at least three incidents where sewing pins were discovered inside candy, urging parents to inspect any candy collected during the event.

The first report came from Jeremy Partin , a local father, whose daughter found a sewing pin lodged in a KitKat bar from the parade. "There it is, clear as day—a needle coming right out of the chocolate," Partin told KHOU , emphasizing that the pin appeared deliberately placed . Initially, police considered it an isolated incident, but soon received additional reports from other parents, confirming the issue was more widespread.
