CHARLOTTE — Dave Canales will generally try to praise an entire group when he's asked about one person.

And he did that when Derrick Brown 's performance against the Jets came up, because it was that good.

But Canales used the word "dominant" to describe it, and he's not wrong.

Brown tied for the team high with seven tackles, and also batted down a three passes, and had 2.0 sacks (of the team's 6.0).

Then as is his custom, Canales mentioned the rest of the defensive rotation, from outside linebackers Nic Scourton , D.J. Wonnum , Princely Umanmielen , Thomas Incoom , and Boogie Basham , along with defensive linemen A'Shawn Robinson , Tershawn Wharton , and Bobby Brown III .
