Manitoba RCMP have charged three men in connection with the death of Melinda Lynxleg, a mother of six who went missing more than five years ago from Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve.

RCMP Supt. Rob Lasson, Sgt. Morgan Page, and Chief Barry McKay of Tootinaowaziibeeng announced the arrests Monday during a news conference at RCMP headquarters in Winnipeg.

Forty-two-year-old Kirk Kenneth Allaire, 38-year-old Myles Malcolm Allaire, and 46-year-old Billy Jay Lynxleg are each charged with second-degree murder and offering an indignity to human remains. Police said all three men knew Lynxleg personally.
