CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cleveland woman yelled several times that she couldn’t breathe as officers sought to restrain her in the moments before her death, police body camera video shows.

The video, released Monday, shows Tasha Grant struggling with officers and hospital staff at MetroHealth Medical Center on May 5. The office of the Cuyahoga County medical examiner ruled her death a homicide, finding that she died from being restrained in her hospital bed while suffering from congestive heart failure.

The ruling doesn’t indicate criminal wrongdoing, the medical examiner’s office said. It only means that a person’s actions caused the death.
