FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A man who pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct with a teenager was given a short-term sentence Monday, but his legal woes are far from over.
A judge in Allen Superior Court handed 26-year-old Dmario Thomas six years in prison but with five of those years suspended. However, he could face much more time for a separate case in U.S. District Court.
In the case of Monday's sentencing, he initially faced charges of sexual misconduct where there was intercourse and in which the defendant was over 21.
