For a second time this year, millions of protesters took to the streets across the nation on Oct. 18 to reject President Donald Trump and what demonstrators called an “authoritarian” administration. New York was no exception, with as many as 100,000 participating across the Five Boroughs, the NYPD says. No arrests were made.

The protest was a direct response to Trump’s unprecedented moves in his second term in office to consolidate executive power by ignoring court orders and the Constitution, the weaponization of federal troops, a mass deportation agenda, and budget cuts to essential social services.
