SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A new food bank and soup kitchen is opening in Spokane Valley this weekend.

The Filipino American Northwest Association (FANA) announced a grand opening for the Food Bank & Soup Kitchen is set for Saturday, October 25, 2025.

FANA said the goal of the food bank is to provide the following:

Serve hot, balanced meals and distribute culturally familiar pantry items

Coordinate with regional partners to expand capacity and reduce service gaps

Offer low-barrier volunteer opportunities for individuals, faith groups, students, and local businesses

Provide referrals to wraparound services (health, housing, and workforce)

Community members are invited to celebrate the opening of the food bank and soup kitchen. Guests are also encouraged to bring 10 cans of non-perishabl
