A coyote attacked a person walking their dog in Woodcliff Lake on Oct. 20, one of at least three attacks this fall in North Jersey.
The attack happened on Woodcrest Drive in the borough at 1:17 p.m., the Woodcliff Lake Police Department posted on Facebook. The person and the dog were both OK, but the police warned residents to be cautious.
"Please be aware of your surroundings when out with small pets," the Woodcliff Lake police advised.
It has been a busy fall for animal attacks in North Jersey with people having run-ins with coyotes, a black bear and a fox during September.
