When Dallas, an 8-year-old white Labrador, vanished from his home near the Coweta County Fairgrounds on Aug. 27, Katherine Kuring thought she would have him back within hours.

Nearly two months later, she is still searching and now fears someone may have taken him.

“I’ve never lost a dog before,” Kuring said. “We have 27 acres, and they know the property like the back of their paw. If Dallas could have come home, he would have.”

That morning, Kuring was caring for her horses while her husband was traveling. When she realized her two dogs were missing, she checked their GPS collars, but for the first time ever, the trackers were offline despite being fully charged.
