President Donald Trump welcomed both the LSU and LSU-Shreveport national baseball champions to the White House East Wing on Monday afternoon.

The president opened the ceremony by noting the room will soon be torn down for a $200 million ballroom, and then heaped praise on both teams.

"Mr. President, thank you for having us in your home," LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson said. "I think the main thing I take from you is work ethic. It's something we preach, and no one works harder for America than you. So thank you for setting a good example."

He congratulated each player from LSU that was selected in the 2025 MLB Draft.
