SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Turner Elementary School is mourning the deaths of two students who died in a house fire.

Aaliyah Robinson, 8, and Danielle Spearman, 5, lost their lives in the fire that engulfed a home on Milton Street Oct. 13. The two girls were students at Turner Elementary School.

Authorities seeking answers following fire that killed 2 children

“Two girls that were happy. Two girls that were very energetic, especially the second grader who loved coming to school. It’s just such a tragic loss,” Caddo Parish Schools Superintendent Keith Burton said.

The school community has faced similar tragedy in recent months. Around six months ago, the school lost sisters Ne’Vaeh Garner, 5, and Tayona Garner, 7, also in a house fire .
