The Indianapolis Colts await further developments on the status of two rotational defensive ends who exited Sunday’s 38-24 win at the Chargers due to injury, coach Shane Steichen told reporters Monday.

Samson Ebukam injured his MCL, a source confirmed to IndyStar but added that he's not expected to be out longterm. The 30-year-old edge rusher went down hard in the third quarter Sunday, upended by teammate DeForest Buckner as the pair closed in on Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. Ebukam required help being led to the Colts ’ blue tent the team uses for medical evaluations.
