LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - Seven criminal street gang members were tried, convicted, and sentenced for gang-related crimes and other crimes, according to Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney Bethany A.S. Harrison.

Harrison says these individuals were arrested as part of the Lynchburg Police Department’s Operation Gang Green in June of 2025. Other persons of interest that were part of this criminal investigation and offender round up have cases pending for prosecution, according to Harrison.

Harrison shared the following details regarding the case,

On February 5, 2025, officers with the Lynchburg Police Department arrested Jordan O’Neal Banks and Jason O’Neil Berkley for possession of a firearm by convicted violent felons and gang participation after finding them trespassing in a parking garag
