SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- People who received parking tickets Saturday after parts of downtown were closed Friday night can resolve the issue with the public parking office in City Hall.

On Friday night, police shut down portions of downtown Sioux Falls which led some people to receive parking tickets when they came back to get their cars Saturday.

The city’s parking manager said people can contact the parking office to verify and resolve the issue.

“If individuals were affected by the street closures enforced by law enforcement Friday night (October 17), and they received a parking ticket on Saturday morning when enforcement hours began, they should contact our office so we can verify and resolve the issue,” Public Parking Manager Matt Nelson said in a statement to KELOLAND News. “Th
