Get ready for rollercoaster temperatures this week.

After a cool start with lows into the 50s, this afternoon will heat up to near 90 degrees. Also, a gusty southerly wind will be with us with gusts over 35 mph possible. Avoid outdoor burning today with the concern for grassfires to spread easily.

Another cold front will move across the area into Tuesday morning. It will be a dry frontal passage with the rainfall threat remaining southeast of North Texas. A breezy north-northeasterly wind will produce an elevated fire danger for all of North Texas, including Dallas and Fort Worth. Please practice your wildfire safety tips.

The next chance of rain arrives Thursday afternoon into Saturday as an upper-level storm system approaches the area.
