PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - A man in Pueblo is accused of kicking and spitting at an officer during a DUI arrest early Saturday morning.

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) said officers responded to the intersection of Pueblo Boulevard and Goodnight Avenue for a crash involving one vehicle. According to police, the vehicle had stopped on its side.

Upon arrival, police said the suspect was showing signs of intoxication and was then arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to police, the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Mario Deherrera, declined medical attention at the scene but was still taken to a hospital for medical clearance.
