LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man was charged after police said they found a gun, marijuana and cocaine in his vehicle near a Lincoln liquor store on Sunday.

Officers saw a vehicle parked in the lot near 26th and N streets with two people in it at 3:13 a.m. The vehicle was near a liquor store, and police said it is a known after-party area. The nearby parking lots were completely full at the time.

According to LPD, the vehicle smelled of marijuana. The driver, 29-year-old Eric Abney, provided his information and denied having any drugs, weapons or other illegal items in the vehicle. Abney declined consent to search the vehicle.
