Rutgers University is “cooperating fully” with an investigation into a fraternity house incident that left a 19-year-old student in critical condition last week, university officials said Monday.

“Rutgers-New Brunswick remains deeply concerned about the serious incident involving one of our students,” university officials said in an emailed statement. “University leadership is in close contact with the student’s family, offering support during this difficult time. We hope for his full recovery.”

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating after the student, whose identity has not been released, was found unresponsive at Alpha Sigma Phi’s off-campus residence at 106 College Ave. at 12:26 a.m. Wednesday. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where h
