CLEMSON — Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney announced wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr. is out of the hospital but will be out for the season after suffering an injury against SMU .
"Prayers answered, just a blessing, kind of best-scenario," Swinney said Oct. 20. "It was a very, very scary injury, and the doctors did an amazing job. ... A lot of unknowns for the first 24 hours or so, but he's actually out of the hospital, back home."
Swinney said Wesco's injury isn't like former Clemson receivers Mike Williams (neck fracture) and Justyn Ross (spine) and is confident Wesco will make a full recovery to play next season.
