WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Post has reported that demolition of the East Wing of the White House has commenced to make way for a new 90,000-square-foot ballroom.

Photos posted by The Washington Post show a backhoe tearing through the East Wing’s facade. The construction aims to complete the ballroom before President Trump’s term ends.
