DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — BOXER DANNY “SWIFT” Garcia delivered a statement finish in what he’s calling his “Farewell to Brooklyn” fight, stopping Daniel Gonzalez with a devastating fourth-round knockout Saturday night at Barclays Center, according to Boxing News .

Garcia, 37, unleashed a trademark counter left hook just 44 seconds into the fourth round that dropped Gonzalez. Referee Harvey Dock waved off the bout after Gonzalez failed to recover.

The former two-division world champion improved his record to 38-4 (22 KOs), while Gonzalez fell to 22-5-1 (7 KOs). Garcia, who has hinted at retirement, told reporters he hopes to leave the sport “with a bang.”
