PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) - Palestine Police Department has made an arrest in an alleged child sex predator case.

According to Palestine police, on October 18 at around 5:10 p.m., a corporal with the Palestine Police Department was sent to 1010 Sugar Lane regarding and online solicitation of a minor allegation.

When he arrived, he spoke with a representative from a civilian group that investigates suspected online child predators. The representative said that they were at the location with a man who believed he was meeting with a 13-year-old child.

Officers identified the suspect as West Holmes, 52, of Palestine.
