Jannik Sinner will not feature at the Davis Cup next month as Italy eye a third consecutive title.

The men's world no. 1 has enjoyed an excellent year having reached the final of all four Grand Slam singles events.

Sinner won the Australian Open and Wimbledon, but was beaten by rival Carlos Alcaraz at the French and US Opens.

He also won the second edition of the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia by beating Alcaraz 6-2 6-4 in the final.

However, the top two men's singles players could have played their last match against each other in 2025.

Sinner has chosen not to play for Italy at the Davis Cup Final 8, which begins on November 18.

As per the BBC, the 24-year-old has chosen to miss the event in order to have more preparation for the 2026 season .
