The Poughkeepsie Journal football player of the week poll is online for Oct. 9-11 and Oct. 16-18.

Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.

Winners of each weekly contest will be ineligible for the ensuing two weeks: Said Kakish of F.D. Roosevelt and Logan Lawrence of John Jay-East Fishkill.

For Oct. 2-4, Lawrence beat Joshua Bodrick of Spackenkill and Elijah Epps of Beacon.
