Collingwood great Scott Pendlebury is suing his former manager in court, claiming his Jason Sourasis took $2.6 million from his investment accounts.
Pendlebury is claiming in the Victorian Supreme Court that he has uncovered that his finances had allegedly been pilfered for almost a decade after the manager borrowed $300,000 but failed to pay it back, The Herald Sun reports .
In 2023, Sourasis asked Pendlebury if he could borrow the vast sum for one day but then told the two-time premiership winner he was unable to pay him back.
The pair agreed for the sum to be paid back over six months to a year along with a staggering 50 per cent in interest repayments. That debt reportedly stands at $600,000.
Earlier this year, Pendlebury discovered Sourasis had been taking money from his account
