CENTRAL CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - For Central City schools, a bond referendum has been years in the making. After months of community feedback, they’re ready to put it on the ballot this November.

Central City Schools would use the $7 million bond funding to add ADA-accessible restrooms and stage areas, and a secure entrance to the elementary wing.

“The entrance at the elementary level does not come right into the office, t he entrance comes into the middle of the building,” said Central City Schools Superintendent Lisa Glenn.

District leaders held meetings and conducted surveys to learn what voters would support, as the district hasn’t held a bond vote for more than twenty years.
