ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - First Alert 4 continues to ask city leaders what is next for vacant properties across St. Louis.

Alderman Shane Cohn represents Dutchtown, which is where the former Roosevelt Apartments at S. Grand Blvd and Alberta St. has sat vacant for years.

“This building was shut down for the nuisance activity that took place,” Alderman Cohn said.

The apartment building first had a partial collapse in 2024.

“This building has gone through a series of owners that have been problematic and never invested any of the money necessary to maintain it,“ Alderman Cohn said.
