BOSTON — Brad Marchand spent his first 16 NHL seasons with the Bruins , so he didn’t hesitate when asked what the best thing about Boston was.
“Fans, for sure,” Marchand said Monday at TD Garden after Panthers practice.
“Hockey-wise, the city’s incredible. ... The fans make it awesome and they’re just very unique," he continued. “Some of the stories and things that I’ve seen fans do — and a lot of them are not PG rated — in playoff runs and stuff like that, it’s so special and so unique to this area."
Marchand knows how passionate Bruins fans are and what they expect from their team. He’s been on the receiving end of a rambunctious TD Garden whether it’s a regular-season win or a playoff victory.
