OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help to find out more about a man taken into custody Monday morning in a northwest Omaha neighborhood.

According to a DCSO Facebook post , neighbors reported a naked man was roaming the area near 144th and Ida streets and knocking on doors.

Deputies were able to find the man, calling him “uncooperative.” The post said authorities used a fingerprint scanner to identify him, and that he was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

“There is no ongoing threat to the public,” the post states. “If anyone encountered this man and was a victim of a crime, please call 911 to report it.”

DCSO also asked anyone who might know the man or have information about what led to his circumstances on Monday morning to call
