PLAIN GROVE TWP, Pa - A 19-year-old was killed in a crash on Interstate 79 near Plain Grove Township, Pennsylvania, in Lawrence County.

The incident happened on Sunday, October 19, 2025, according to a crash report.

Around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, a Honda Civic, driven by 19-year-old Gavin Lohr, was traveling north on Interstate 79. At the same time, a Volvo semi-trailer, driven by a 31-year-old man, was traveling south.

According to the report, Lohr crossed into the grass median and into the southbound lane of Interstate 79, where he struck the driver's side of the Volvo.

Lohr's vehicle then traveled underneath the trailer and into the west median, where it came to rest facing west.

Lohr was pronounced dead on the scene.
