GOODING, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Gooding County District Court has sentenced a second teenager for the murder of a Jerome man in June 2024.

Gooding County District Court Judge Rosemary Emory sentenced Rolan Delacruz, 16, to 23 years fixed to life in prison for first-degree murder after killing Dax Richins, 18.

Delacruz appeared in court on Monday afternoon in blue clothing in front of a public gallery that included Richins’ family. Rodney Richins, Dax’s father, read a statement to the court during the hearing.
