A single-family home was destroyed by fire, according to Travis Svilar, Battalion Chief with Grant County FD#5.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 2:45 p.m. The fire spread to surrounding vegetation and a car parked in the driveway, which was declared a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation by Grant County Fire Marshals. It is unclear whether the fire started inside or outside the structure.
The home was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported.
MOSES LAKE, Wash. – The Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) has issued an alert about a structure fire in the 100 block of Schilling Drive in Moses Lake.
GCSO is urging residents to avoid the area as fire suppression and rescue efforts are ongoing.
