A 34-year-old man died by suicide after reportedly jumping from the third floor of GT World Mall at around 9.50 am on Monday.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Sagar, who was found with severe head injuries and was declared dead on the scene.

Preliminary inquiries revealed that Sagar had been battling depression for nearly a decade and was undergoing psychiatric treatment. He lived with his parents and sister at KHB Colony, Papaya Garden . His father is employed with Canara Bank .

Police said Sagar was an engineering dropout who had failed a few subjects and had remained unemployed . He had reportedly attempted suicide three years ago by jumping onto metro tracks but was rescued in time.
