MARIETTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a hotel in Cobb County.

Officers were called to the Extended Stay America hotel, located at 2239 Powers Ferry Road, just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday. When they got there, they found the body of a 58-year-old woman inside one of the rooms.

Police say the “circumstances surrounding the woman’s death remain under investigation.” Her next of kin has been notified, but police are not sharing her identity at this time.
