KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Board of Parole made a final decision in TaDaryl Shipp’s parole case on Monday.

Shipp was convicted in the 1995 murder of Colleen Slemmer in what is known as the “Job Corps Murder.” He is currently serving life in prison.

Earlier this month, a parole review hearing took place at Northwest Correctional Complex. During the hearing, board member Tim Gobble voted to deny Shipp’s bid for parole, citing the seriousness of Slemmer’s murder. He also recommended that Shipp’s parole case be reviewed again in October 2030.
