On Saturday, Curry College’s Montie Quinn put together one of the greatest single game performances by a running back in college football history.

The senior back ran for 522 total yards and seven touchdowns on just 20 carries in a 71-27 win over Nichols College. It was the first time in NCAA history that anyone had even ran for at least 500 yards in a single game.

The previous record was 465 yards, set by Cartel Brooks of Heidelberg University in a game against Baldwin Wallace in 2013.

“I’m just humbled and grateful,” Quinn said after the contest . “Breaking the record is something I never imagined coming into today.
