TOLLAND, Conn. — A missing person was found in the Tolland marsh Monday with the help of drone technology, according to town officials.

First responders initiated a water rescue at the marsh in the afternoon after receiving a report that someone was missing and in crisis. Tolland Town Manager Brian Foley said crews from all over Tolland County were called, including dive teams, drones, K-9s and other personnel.

A drone from East Windsor eventually found the victim, who Foley said was responsive and in need of medical evaluation. First responders and firefighters helped the person onto a boat to bring them safely ashore.
